World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like crit chance and PvE Damage.
If the weapon's upgrade template is in %, the weapon will increase 3percent of its previous damage for every time it is upgraded.
The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the item level rises.
Components
Upgrade components can be incorporated into weapons, armor and trinkets to give them a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. These can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors or trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades also have special cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot for them; the item must have been at the very least upgraded to blue level in order for the component to be applied. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used once and cannot be applied multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or Ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment that is ascended or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
An upgrade could have a prefix or suffix changing the name of the equipment to which it is applied (for instancethe "Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, which lets players to create stronger versions using less upgrade crystals than they require to reach the same level with normal methods.
A 'boost upgrade' can alter the defense or attack characteristics of a weapon or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. They can also be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear, or by purchasing them from the cash store for 500 upgrade crystals per.
The player can have the maximum of five boost upgrades at a time; each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-level version of the item will appear at the time of the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue upgrading their gear, even if they're unsure of how much they'll improve following a subsequent reset.
The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process may be costly, and there is a significant risk that the item may become obsolete or even break when it fails; a failed upgrade will destroy the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also offer an additional bonus when reinserted.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, which includes any existing attaches. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways. We suggest upgrading them as soon as you can to level 15.
In the final game you'll often discover that the most effective way to upgrade your gear is by placing Glyphs. These are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded to level 15 and offer an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.
The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced, but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without restrictions. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and rebuilt by using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.
The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can choose to replace it with a different Glyph with the same rank, or a higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the glyph.
Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.
After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be put on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus which will boost a specific set of stat nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph it could be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.
Utilizing a Glyph will boost all the nodes that are connected to it, so you should try to place your Glyphs near key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. For instance, a Druid should try to position their Glyphs near their primary damage points, however, you may also want to consider placing them near critical damage nodes, too.
Leveling
The upgrade system for items allows players to improve the stats of specific items by putting upgraded components in them. This is often referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned a level which determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded until they reach a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each level of an item requires a different number of components to reach and the cost of upgrading increase as the item gets advanced in level.
Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or purchased from some NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns some Technology Points. These points can be used for upgrading an item. Once enough points are earned, you will be able to claim your upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.
When an item is upgraded by a player to a higher level, the original item is replaced by a new item of the same kind. The same armor will be upgraded to the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also has its own set bonus. This could be a drawback in that the item could become more expensive even if you do not require it.
If the player has enough tokens, they can roll item upgrades. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will come with the level 1 base, and a completely different set of extra bonuses. This is useful for certain items, but it's not something that should be done regularly, as it could waste lots of resources.
Certain upgrades can be rerolled several times to increase their value, allows the player to modify their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides a buff if the player repeatedly enters or exits the water. This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the maximum roll by an increment of 10. This item is very valuable in PvP. A well-rolled version could be worth as much as 50x the value of a non-upgraded counterpart.
Requirements
The item upgrade r allows players to increase the level of their equipment (armor weapons, armor, and trinkets) beyond ilvl385 by handing over the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also boost the defense of the base set, while upgrades to weapon items boost their base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity.
Each item can be upgraded up to five times except for hero equipment, which can be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade an object, it is at risk of failing. The failure rate increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to revert back to its original state, which will force the user to spend more money on materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.
If an item does not upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it gained, such as the chance to crit damage to attack, other effects (such as an increase in healing over time or the speed of reloading). However, the player may continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.
When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it receives a crit chance boost it will be applied before any damage from attacks increases. A new attribute known as Slots is now added to the definition of the item and the value is recomputed every time an upgrade is applied.
The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on its rarity rating and upgrade slot count. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equal to its base value. For example, a common item might have five upgrades at a cost of. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Opportunity. Hero grade items have a lower cost per upgrade.
Premium items have different upgrade requirements than standard gear--for instance, they may require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. Players will still have to carry every piece of gear they want to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each equipment upgrade will require different amounts of upgrade ingredients in addition to the expenses that are listed above.
